Finding Inexpensive Wine on the Internet

There are those who turn up their nose at any bottle that doesn’t cost at least $50 or more. This group of wine enthusiasts equates name and price with quality. Well, that’s fine for them, but the rest of us just want a good wine. If we can find one that is truly excellent, without breaking the bank, we’re even happier. I went looking for the internet’s best cheap wine, and was I ever surprised. I don’t think I’ll ever spend more than $20 on a bottle again!

While it is true inexpensive wine can be found almost anywhere, it makes a lot of sense to buy discount wine online. The selection is unbeatable, with hundreds of sites ready to ship you anything you like. The prices are great, too! Tough competition, large supply, and lowered demand make this an excellent time to take advantage of the internet’s offerings. I found a truly delicious wine, Trader Joe’s Alexander & Fitch Cabernet Sauvignon for $6. Another shockingly good wine from Trader Joe’s is the Charles Shaw Shiraz, which was only $1.99! I really liked this one.

There Charles Shaw brand, actually has a composite 8 different wines and a few of them are actually very good. This is as cheap as it gets, but it’s not always bad. Some find the taste of the merlot quite good for the price, but others claim that they’ve certainly had better. The wine had a full body and great flavor, but the finish was off. The sauvignon Blanc was excellent, surprisingly, given a very light color and lack of fragrance. Others were acceptable, but for less than $2 a bottle, who am I to complain?

For a few bucks more, you can find truly remarkable wines that you’d be proud to share with others over dinner. Yellowtail, the Australian winemakers, has become increasingly popular. They’ve proven they can make a truly great wine, and are competitive with much higher priced competition. Some really liked their Chardonnay, which is sold in some places for under $6. The Castle Rock Pinot Noir is another enjoyable selectionand for less than $10, you too can enjoy this marvelous wine. You will not be disappointed. Castle Rock Winery is located in Monterey County,California, one of America’s wineries, that dedicates itself to giving enthusiasts a great product forlow prices. Many say they’re doing an excellent job.

The internet is full of great deals on excellent, low-cost wine. With a little searching, and a little luck, you’re sure to find exactly what you were looking for. You might find some new favorites, or you might end up boycotting expensive wines forever, just like me.
